Cinnamon is here to spice up your weight loss.
According to a study by research at the University of Michigan,
the oil that gives cinnamon its flavor, may be connected to burning fat cells.
But don’t drive to nearest Cinnabon quite yet.
It only has been tested in a laboratory setting.
Researchers experimented on fat from mice and volunteers’ liposuction.
After using the oil cinnamaldehyde on fat cells directly, it showed gene expression of enhanced lipid metabolism.
This helps induce the fat burning process in the body.
But since humans put cinnamon in their food and not on their cells directly,
the process is unclear about how much cinnamon is needed to help lose weight.
Lead researcher John who said the oil has the possibility to help with obesity as well as help people to control their blood sugar.
