A paper company in China is hoping to cash in on panda poop.
The Fengsheng paper group in Sichuan province is gathering panda feces from nearby reserves and using it to make tissues and toilet paper.
Now before you get grossed out, the company does say the process includes multiple steps to sterilize material.
The company doesn’t have to worry about a shortage of the resource, an adult panda typically generates about 10 kilograms of poop in a single day.
Other types of waste are also used to develop the tissue including uneaten bamboo and food the animals spit out.
State media reported December 19th that the aptly named panda poo is now on sale, but it doesn’t come cheap.
A single box the tissue will set you back about 43 yuan, or about six dollars and fifty cents.
