Who do Americans admire most?
The answers in a Gallup poll, released December 27th shouldn’t surprise you.
This is the 10th straight year Barack Obama has topped gallops list of most admired men, and it’s the 16th consecutive year Hillary Clinton has earned the title of most admired woman.
Let’s take a closer look at their respective victories.
On the men’s side, Obama edged out his successor as US President Donald Trump, netting 17% of the responses to Trump’s 14% .
This puts Trump in a small group of sitting US presidents not named most admired man.
Gallup says the incumbent president has finished first in its survey 58 of 71 times dating to 1946.
On the women’s side, Hillary Clinton received 9% of the responses，she’s now finished first a record 22 times.
The only other women to poll better than 3% were Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey.
