Bitter cold temperatures have taken much of the United States and Canada within their icy grasp.
In turn, many weather watchers have taken to social media to demonstrate the frigid conditions.
On New Hampshire’s Mount Washington on December 28th, the temperature dipped to a record-breaking minus a 34 Fahrenheit.
The Mount Washington observatory shared a facebook video in which boiling water instantly turned to snow as it was carried off by hurricane-force winds.
Boston television station WCVB shared a video of a bubble that didn’t burst, it shattered like glass in the deep freeze.
Meanwhile, US President Trump suggested on Twitter this would be a good time for" a little bit of that good old global warming."
Trump has a reputation as a climate change skeptic.
But the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration recently said 2017 was gearing up to be one of the three warmest years on record.
