Japan’s princess Mako has postponed her wedding to her college sweetheart.
Mako is engaged to Kei Komuro, a 26 year oldlegal assistant.
The couple met five years ago while studying in Tokyo and last year they got engaged.
Palace officials originally said the couple would Wed in November this year.
On February 6 however news sources said the wedding will be postponed until 2020.
The couple say the delay is due to lack of time to organise the wedding and next year the imperial family will be busy with Mako’s grandfather Emperor Akihito abdicating the throne.
He’ll be the first Japanese Emperor to step down for the chrysanthemum throne in more than 200years.
Mako is the eldest daughter of Prince Akishinowho is second in line to the throne .
Mako however will be stripped of her royal title after marrying Komuro since he is a commoner.
