President Moon Jae-in will give a budget speech to the National Assembly in a few hours from now.
He’s due to call for lawmakers’ cooperation in passing an expansionary government budget for next year,... designed to help tide the nation over its deepening economic difficulties.
On Wednesday,... an official at Cheong Wa Dae said the president is expected to explain to the National Assembly on the government’s intentions regarding the expansionary budget within the broader framework of boosting the sluggish economy.
He’ll also call for parliamentary cooperation in carrying out his "income-led growth" drive.
It remains to be seen whether President Moon will call for parliamentary ratification of the Panmunjeom Declaration during his speech.
